Fitness isn’t just 1 hour in the gym, it’s how you move all day long!
If you want to feel great, stay independent, and protect your joints as you age, think of your movement in 4 essential levels:
Level 1: Daily Movement (The Foundation)
Goal: Reduce sedentary time.
Try: Stand up every hour, walk while talking on the phone, take the stairs, garden, or play with your kids/grandkids. Small habits add up fast!
Level 2: Aerobic Activity
Goal: Build cardiovascular health and endurance.
Try: Brisk walking, cycling, swimming, or dancing. Move with purpose and get your heart pumping!
Level 3: Strength Training
Goal: Preserve muscle mass, boost metabolism, and maintain independence.
Try: Resistance bands, dumbbells, or simple bodyweight exercises (like squats or wall push-ups).
Level 4: Balance & Flexibility
Goal: Prevent falls, keep joints healthy, and move gracefully.
Try: Daily stretching, yoga, or Tai Chi.
